Here is a little visual story for our next restock! There are SO many ways to use our market baskets and I know that shopping online it can be tough to visualize. I hope this gives you an idea of some of the possibilities! You can also read about my vision for the Spring/Summer Collection and the heart behind it below.
Many of you may not know that travel has always been a huge part of my life. My first international excursion was at 13 and since then I've been blessed to visit 12 different countries. I actually started Fernweh Home a bit over a year ago right after traveling to Germany. Fernweh is a German word meaning wanderlust, a desire to travel or a longing for far off places. There is little else more inspiring to me that exploring new places and I became captivated by the idea of bringing a little bit of this feeling into my day to day. My mission with this little business is to provide beautiful, handcrafted goods from around the globe to satisfy the adventurer in you. Basically, I want to bring a little Fernweh into your home and hopefully your life.
This Spring/Summer I wanted to connect you all with two of my current obsessions...Moroccan Market Baskets and beautiful Turkish towels. Each basket is handmade by highly skilled craftsmen in a small, family artisanal workshop in Morocco and is ethically handwoven from 100% palm leaf from the doum plant. This plant grows in rural areas of Morocco and is locally harvested. The craftsmen design these baskets to have unique character and detail and they will continue to age beautifully with time and use!
A great eco friendly alternative to the plastic bag, the Everly basket has an endless possibility of uses! Carry it as classic shopping basket at the farmers market; use it as a beautiful storage option at home; fill with fresh fruits and flowers; even as a functional boho-chic purse!
I hope you all love these as much as I do!
the Everly Market Basket (Featured Below) and 4 new towel designs will go live Monday, May 15th at 6pm EST. We will also have a small restock of the Willow and Eden Market Baskets!
